Description

This graceful brooch is said to be from the 1920's roughly. I think it could vary a decade either way but it is definitely done in beautiful curved designs of the Art Nouveau period. It is most likely made of brass... and somewhere in its long life someone has put a silver metallic back on it. It could be original, but I would doubt it. It is closed with a C clasp and measures about 2-1/4" x 1-7/8".
I love the way the "stems" curve...almost as if they couldn't be confined to the rectangle! It's from an estate and is in excellent condition considering its age.
If you love the beautiful designs of the past, this would be a wonderful piece to wear with anything from a suit to a jacket...it would even hold its own on casual wear!
