Flavor Sweet is also designed to complement the use of Flavor Plus Suspending Vehicle. It is flavored and buffered to be added to a pre-formed suspension and diluted in approximately 50-50 concentrations. Flavor Sweet is a convenient, flavored syrup based vehicle, formulated to assist the compounding pharmacist in the preparation of oral extemporaneous delivery systems. Flavor Sweet may be used alone or to flavor aqueous solutions, or in conjunction with suspending agents to impart flavor and sweetness while increasing the physical stability of the suspension. Flavor Sweet contains suitable preservatives and is buffered to a slightly acidic pH to provide a vehicle which is dependable, consistent, pharmaceutically elegant and easily utilized by the compounding pharmacist.
