  • Description
A gold plated brooch made in Pforzheim, Germany by Henkel and Grosse. The brooch is a very graceful rendition of a natural branch that looks like it has been caught in a strong wind. A gold band catches the stems to give the look of a bouquet. It has a safety clasp on the back.

The pin is 2 by 2 inches and in excellent condition.

Henkel and Grosse began making jewelry in Pforzheim in 1938. In 1955 they began designing jewelry for Christian Dior although not exclusively. At some point they began adding an accent over the final e to make themselves more palatable to the French after WWII. The company is still in operation.

This brooch is marked Grosse with no accent. There is a 19 above the name and 59 below it. I don't know if that is the year it was copyrighted or not.
