Percheron and Clydesdale Horses-Edwin Megargee Original Vintage Lithograph Print
Edwin Megargee Original Vintage Lithograph Print depicting ~ PERCHERON AND CLYDESDALE.
For all its size, the Percheron is a beautiful animal; one in the center and a small sketch at the lower left where it is being shown in hand. The head is smaller and neater than that of the other draft breeds; the eye is larger and more expressive; and its movement has a smartness and snap that is lacking in the others. These qualities are due, to a greater proportion of Arab blood than that in the other breeds.
The Clydesdale in the upper sketch at the right has the feathered legs of the Shire with the disadvantages that go with them. The Clydesdale is the embodiment of draft type.
We have obtained many works of art illustrations by the artist: EDWIN MEGARGEE. Artwork SIGNED on the lithograph print. These date 1946 from his collection titled: HORSES.
Lithograph print measuring 12-1/4 inches wide by 9-1/4 inches high. VERY SUITABLE FOR FRAMING.
Beautiful VIBRANT COLORING. NEAR-EXCELLENT CONDITION. Only flaw is at the very, very bottom lower towards right hand corner is a VERY, VERY FAINT water mark, approx. 4-1/2 inches long. Can trim away, or matte around, since you have lots of bordering surrounding the artwork image.
