Amethyst Flashed Whipped Cream Bowl & Underplate

This amethyst-flashed mayonnaise comport has a cupped or rolled rim. Also known as a whipped cream bowl, it is circa 1930's. Probably made by the U. S. Glass Company. Footed bowl is 6 1/4" in diameter x 4" high. Underplate is 7 3/4" in diameter and has a 3/8 x 1/8" manufacturing flaw on the base ring (see photo); there is also a bubble in the glass at that point. (The texture you see in the close-up photo is not in the glass, but on the table surface under the glass.) Flashing is in very good condition!
