Yet another piece from the estate of the eclectic collector, this very feminine round compact doesn't give us a clue as to its background. The only mark is on the rim in back that says Made in USA. It is in unused condition and nicely done.
The top is etched in a vining floral pattern that has some colored touches, rose colored flowers, green leaves. The only oddity here is that one area toward the top right has had a color escape of some kind...there but not where it should be! The sides are banded in thin black enamel lines for additional interest. The bottom is a textured finish.
It measures 2-5/8" in diameter and is 3/4" tall. The ribbon band on the powder puff inside is a bit frayed but the puff itself is new. The powder screen is also new. The white interior plus the mirror, look clean and new as well.
This little "unknown" needs a chance to belong...it has probably waited a long time for today!
