This is another piece from the estate of the eclectic collector who had such a wide variety of tastes. It's a charming compact from the Viviane Woodard line. The top is intricately covered with swirls of brushed gold tone metal, the pattern set off deeper color beneath. The entire exterior is done in a almost textured brushed gold tone; the back is centered with her logo.
It doesn't look as if the pressed powder insert has ever been used; the gold backed powder puff seems clean enough...colored with the powder probably from sitting on top of it (just a guess!)
The compact measures about 2-3/4" long and 1-3/4" wide, about 1/2" tall. Overall it's in very good vintage shape. It's rather heavy for its size which would make you think that its construction is solid and of good quality.
This is a lovely piece that would definitely grace an evening purse or be a great addition to your dressing table.
