This is a great piece from a quantity of glamourous clothing I found at an estate sale for a woman who had been both an avid collector and entrepreneur with shops in the southwest. Most of the clothing had been stored for some time; just about everything survived well.
This is a stunning wrap for that special evening...a totally elegant fabric done in light peach brocade woven in a glittering metallic gold design...made into a double breasted evening coat. The coat is lined in a matching taffeta, has long sleeves, covered buttons, and fairly straight lines.
There is no label or size tag unfortunately, only the union tag to show it's ready made. It measures 19" across the bust lying flat, about 21" through the hips, is 40" long, with sleeves that measure 22-1/2" collar to wrist. Since it has been stored for some time, it would be freshened by a trip to the dry cleaners.
This would be an gorgeous finishing touch to a special outfit; it looks smashing with the gold dress shown (which will be listed separately...we missed getting that shot the day pictures were taken...my fault!) Make that dramatic entrance with this...it's almost a one of a kind!
