ANTIQUE UZBEK TASHKENT SUZANI SILK EMBROIDERY

Here is an antique Central Asian embroidery - Uzbek suzani from Tashkent region. This fully embroidered handmade item is called Kirpech and was made for a special purpose to cover niches. The age of the item is the firts part of the 20th century, circa 1930. The foundation of the embroidery is cotton fabric. The whole surface of the cloth is filled with handmade embroidery. The pattern of the embroidery is composed of three large roundels with flowers inside of them. Very rich colors were used here.
