Here is an antique large Central Asian embroidery - Uzbek suzani from Tashkent region. This fully embroidered handmade item is called Palyak and was made for a special purpose to cover niches. Circa 1900. The foundation of the embroidery is homespun cotton fabric. The whole surface of the cloth is filled with handmade embroidery. The pattern of the embroidery is composed of three large roundels with flowers inside of them. Very rich colors were used here.
This antique fully embroidered Palyak from Tashkent is a genuine sample of skill and quality of Uzbek silk handmade embroidery. Draped over your bed, wall or couch, these quilts bring eastern mystique to your home.
Size is 8'8" x 8' or 260 x 240 cm. This piece in excellent condition, ready to use (without holes, stains and repaired places).
