A really cute mother cat and 2 kitties in great poses so indicative of coming upon a few cats unannounced. The mother is washing her paw; one kitten is sleeping peacefully; the other has just seen a ghost...make that a white dog, and its eyes are popping out of its head.
The cats are made of solid clay and the facial expressions are incredible for something so small. Mom is just shy of 3 inches tall; scaredy cat is just under 2 inches and the sleeper is 2 inches ears to tail. All have female tabby markings. They have the kind of fine detail you find in Japanese netsuke. If you love cats for their catness, these will become favorites in your collection.
These figurines are part of a cat collection I purchased where the collector kept careful inventory as to where, when and who presented it. This family came from Florida in 1988. The cats are older than that.
I will not break up the family. Don't ask.
