Sitting pretty porcelain cat figurine gray with spots Japan vintage cm1408

This little cat is only 3.75 inches high. It is made of porcelain and is decorated in pearl and smoke gray with simple facial features. It is one of the flatish animal figurines with Japan impressed into the back of the figure.

I have several flat non cat figures in another store and until they find a new owner I keep them lined up on the edges of bookshelves where they add a lot of personality and break the monotony of loaded bookshelves.

This figurine has no damage but it has a black spot under glaze that I'm not sure is accidental or intended.

This cat is part of a cat collection I recently purchased. The previous owner marked them as to who where and when. This one came from her family 8-15-87, however this figurine is much older than that. They are getting close to antique.
