Commemorative Unused Prepaid Postal Card-Congressional GG-1 Locomotive Stamp
Very nice collectible commemoritive UNUSED Prepaid Postcard for the .20 CENT STAMP of a GG-1 Locomotive Train.
Back of postcard is marked: @1998 USPS. The slogan for the Congressional's route between New York and Washington was "Every Mile Electrified!" In 1935, designer Raymond Loewy improved the looks of its GG-1 locomotives and restyled its cars' interiors. The Public Works Administration assisted the route's conversion to electricity.
Has a backstamp of: OSHTEMO, MI 49077, dating MAY 18, 2001 ~ with the PEANUTS STAMPS GOLD STAMP with the figure of SNOOPY.
CONDITION: EXCELLENT, UNUSED, UNFADED. Vibrant coloring. The surface is a glossy finish.
Measures a LARGER 6 inches wide by 4-1/4 inches high.
