Vincent Van Gogh's work has risen to the peak of artistic achievements. Although Van Gogh sold only one painting in his life, the aftermath of his work is enormous. Vincent Van Gogh painted "Irises" in 1889, the year before his death. He was staying at the asylum at Saint Paul-de-Mausole in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France and painted "Irises" before his first attack at the asylum.

Van Gogh's paintings are some of the most well known and sought after images in modern culture. Van Gogh called this painting "the lightning conductor for my illness", because he felt that he could keep himself from going insane by continuing to paint. Like many of his works, "Irises" was influenced by Japanese ukiyoe woodblock prints. The similarities include strong outlines, unusual angles and flattish colors that do not reflect the actual fall of light.

Our art shirts are hand printed using non-toxic "watercolor technique" dyes on a wax press. High quality bright and durable screen prints on a top quality soft and stretchy cotton-polyester blend shirt.

Shipped brand new in poly bag. This shirt will not shrink. We recommend hand wash or machine wash gentle to preserve the colors.

MEDIUM measures ~18" across the chest from armpit to armpit and ~23" long and will comfortably fit up to a ~36-38"chest/bust.

LARGE measures ~19" across the chest from armpit to armpit and ~25" long and will comfortably fit up to a ~38-40"chest/bust.

XL measures ~21" across the chest from armpit to armpit and ~27" long and will comfortably fit up to a ~42-44"chest/bust.
