Information to build your own satellite is contained within these binders and books! They contain schematics, blueprints, diagrams, tests and never before published information. NASA’s first Tracking and Data Relay Satellite (TDRS) was launched in April 1983 and in service until June 27, 2010. SPACE COMMUNICATIONS, INC. This binder includes hundreds of pages. 2) TDRSS Spacecraft Operations Volume 2 - COMMAND HANBOOK - TMO253 - 15 August 1982 -Prepared under SUBCONTRACT NO. 76159 TO W.U. SPACE COMMUNICATIONS, INC. Binder also contains hundreds of pages and is in excellent condition. 3) TDRSS Spacecraft Operations Volume 3 - TELEMETRY HANDBOOK - TMO253 - 15 August 1982 -Prepared under SUBCONTRACT NO. 76159 TO W.U. SPACE COMMUNICATIONS, INC. Binder also contains hundreds of pages and is in excellent condition except for foxing on edges of pages. 4) TDRSS Spacecraft Systems Manual Volume 2 - TMO254 - 30 July 1982 Structures, Electrical Power, Thermal Control, Ordnance, TDRS Electrical Interfaces -Prepared under SUBCONTRACT NO. 76159 TO W. U. SPACE COMMUNICATIONS, INC. Binder is thinner than the previous three but contains many fold-out diagrams of the satellite and components. Many of pages have ageing / yellowing but are still in excellent condition. 5) TDRSS Spacecraft Systems Manual Volume 3 - Telecommunications - TMO254 - 15 July 1982 -Prepared under SUBCONTRACT NO. 76159 TO W.U. SPACE COMMUNICATIONS, INC. Binder is smaller than the first three but contains many fold-out diagrams, B&W photos of the components. 6) TRW Electronic Standard Catalog - TRW Systems Electronic Group - Nov. 91 This binder is very clean and contains, prices, photos and specs of electronic pieces used by TRW. About 150 pages. Cover shows a color illustration of a space shuttle and satellite floating above Earth. 7) TRW Measurement and Calibration Services Department - 1991 - 14 pages, like new condition soft-cover booklet. 8) 1988 NASA TRW Integrated Systems Testing Command Lists Satellite Booklet A I and T Integrated Systems Testing Command Lists. "This 'quick-reference document is designed to answer questions arising during a System Test." Prepared by Armand R. LeMieux, Bruce A. Giles, T.T. Kuratini, Steve Shane, Del Suarez March 1988. The booklet measures 8.5" x 6.25" and is almost 3/8" thick. Contains 73 pages of technical information, drawings and more! 9) TRW Fleet Satellite Communications Spacecraft Book - Electronics and Defense. January 1983. The booklet measures 7.5" x 5.15" and is almost 3/8" thick. Contains 40 pages of technical information, drawings and more! Like new condition, very tight binding. 10) NASA VERTICAL CARGO OPERATIONS INFORMATION BOOKLET SPACE SHUTTLE. A pocket-sized book with about 24 pages. John F. Kennedy Space Center. 11) TRW DSP Spacecraft Training Program - Spacecraft Overview (covers the mechanical system design of the spacecraft) Includes the first known use of the word "IPAD" which stands for Inertial Properties Adjustment Device. This binder has hundreds of pages including charts, graphs and fold-out diagrams and schematics. 16439-80-007 12) TRW Dark Blue Binder - THE BOOK. This binder contains hundreds of pages, including K-band frequency information, original handwritten notes for computer commands, copies of handwritten notes and many fold-out schematics and diagrams, some on blueprint type paper. About 2" thick of papers. 13) TDRSS Assembly, Integration and Test - Crew Training Lecture - Telemetry, Tracking and Command System - From 1982 - Cover of Binder has label titled "Software Briefs". 14) TRW Physics. This binder appears to be work from a class. It has physics information, equations and contains handwritten problems and solutions. Less than 1/2" thick. 15) TRW Radio Frequency Interface Control Document between Gamma Ray Observatory and the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System - 1983-1985. About 3/8" thick. 16) TRW TDRSS Handwritten Notes in a college ruled notebook. Contains several pages of notes and facsimiles of written notes. 17) TRW Binder with a copy of Practical Theory and Operation of Traveling Wave Tubes and Microwave Glossary by Reginald D. Perkins. 165 pages. 1/2" thick 18) TRW Binder with original Hewlett Packard FORTRAN IV Reference Manual. From October 1970. 1/2" thick. 19) TRW - Electrical Connector Handling Procedure For Spacecraft Assembly Test. This last binder has loose NASA Technical Training manuals, TRW training manuals and other papers dealing with the "high standards of NASA soldering programs". When something is flying around in space at tens of thousands of miles per hour, it needs to have some quality craftsmanship. Lots of diagrams, directions and information. None of these papers are three-hole punched. 3/4" thick 20) TRW Emergency Assistance Team - E.A.T. Yellow Safety Vest. This vest has two large pockets in the front which stay sealed with Velcro. The vest stays closed with Velcro also. There is a stain on the back and some other marks. I have not tried cleaning this, so it may be removable.
