Landing module Eagle touched down on the moon on July 20; 102 hours, 45 minutes and 40 seconds after launch.
This history making event was televised around the world.
The astronauts planted an American flag and left a plaque that reads, "Here Men From The Planet Earth First Set Foot Upon The Moon. July 1969 A.D. We Came In Peace For All Mankind."
