With the selling price of original late 70s Op-Amp Big Muffs so high, Mike Matthews decided to revamp this classic pedal at a price players could afford! The new Big Muff Op-Amp circuit — sometimes also called the IC or V4 Big Muff — has been reinvented with several improvements such as a compact die-cast chassis and a true bypass switching feature.
