Sow directly into warm soil (~20°C) patch in groups of 4 seeds. Space seeds 50-60cm apart. After the seedlings emerge, thin out leaving only the 2 most robust seedlings in the group. Increase the harvest by hand-pollinating the flowers. Leave to ripen on the vine, harvest only when the connecting stems wither and dry.
