Cobblestones & Arcs Antique Carnival Glass Bowl

This carnival glass 8-ruffle bowl was manufactured by Imperial Glass about 1915. The inside pattern is "Cobblestone" and the outer pattern is "Arcs", or "Cut Arcs". The base color is amethyst (purple). From the top, the colors are amethyst, silver, and marigold. Imperial began producing carnival glass in 1909 and discontinued it about 1930, when non-iridized colored glass became popular. This bowl measures 9 inches in diameter. Condition is very good, except for one spot of wear to the iridescence 3/8 in. long x 1/8 in. wide and an amethyst in color (see photo #1, 1/2 in. from the rim at about 2 o'clock). This condition is reflected in the price.
