Bakelite belt buckle pendant carved Bakelite tongue olive vintage ll2469

This Bakelite belt buckle has a very rare feature. It has a Bakelite tongue. The buckle is olive green carved with incisions of lines and triangles.

It is 2.5 inches in diameter. The buckle is thick at 3/8 inches. This is an early piece probably from the 1930s. It tests positive for Bakelite.

Condition is great except the tip of the tongue is broken off.

If I were keeping this I would not use it as a buckle but remove the metal rod and tongue and wear this as a pendant on a chain or cord. I have included a picture to show how it would look.
