Large Blue Horse Famous Painting Cross-Stitch Chart
Large Blue Horse is adapted from a painting by Franz Marc. Franz Marc was an artist in Germany who was killed in battle during World War I. He was one of the artists to embrace the Expressionistic Abstract style and was associated with Wassily Kandinsky who is credited with founding the movement. Many of Marc's paintings were destroyed or “lost” due to Hitler’s dislike of modern and abstract art.
Marc's paintings tend to have a fantastical element to them while remaining realistic in form. This Large Blue Horse is no exception. Beyond that, horse possesses excellent spiritual symbolism.
Horse is a symbol of strength, and warrior energy balanced with sensitivity, patience and compassion. Call on the power of horse when you’re feeling:
