Sleeping Fox Cross-Stitch Chart inspired by Franz Marc Famous Painting
Sleeping Fox is adapted from a painting by German Expressionist artist Franz Marc. Marc was killed in battle during World War I. He was an early adopter of the Expressionist Style which was frowned upon by Hitler and much of his art was stolen from the rightful owners or destroyed during World War II. He favored animals in his art – especially horses. This chart, adapted from one of his pieces of art, is a good example of the almost fantastical nature of many of his works.
This Sleeping Fox cross-stitch pattern is full coverage and uses only full cross stitches.
The model is stitched on 14-count aida with a stitch count of 150 wide x 119 high.
Finished sizes are provided for multiple counts. I try to keep my designs to fit a standard frame to save you money for framing costs. The sizes for this design are as follows:
