This new M35 wireless system has the capability of turning "any" acoustic instrument into a wire free connection that can then be transmitted to a powered speaker, Amp etc. NO electric pickup, or 1/4 jack required on the instrument itself !(Transmitter).This system runs on the more reliable 5.8 GHz for a smooth and uncluttered transmission. What makes this set unique is the fact that the Transmitter attached to the instrument works on "acoustic vibration" and has both Volume and Tone settings. You can literally find the sweet spot on your instrument (that does not impede your strumming area) and dial in the best acoustic point to transmit from. There is a sticky back on the transmitter that hold it firmly in place once this spot has been identified and then just pair and go! Amplify your favorite Acoustic (Guitar, mandolin, Violin) etc. with wireless freedom. The set comes with an extra accessory where you can plug the Receiver into a laptop or similar device for direct live recording. A few observations after testing: As noted, the sweet spot on each instrument may be different. The sticky side of the transmitter is designed to adhere but come on and off without harm to an instruments finish. However once applied, it is tight.Best to maybe even have someone "move" this transmitter around for you while you play to find the best spot before applying to the surface.The set also comes with an additional sticky pad replacement should the original become overused. As the Transmitter features both volume and tone adjustment, best to look for "unity gain" between the transmitter and the actual amp volume. Being to close to the speaker source can cause feedback if the volumes are on full. However creating distance between the amp source (which is the point of wireless) will eliminate this effect.
