A Stunning Antique Blue Sapphire Paste Filigree Necklace, Vintage Art Deco 1920s in Sterling Silver with Applied Gold Details and Rose Cut Marcasite. This gorgeous antique pendant is original fine filigree openwork in sterling silver with a lovely aged patina and applied gold details on the sides. The center holds a faceted blue sapphire paste stone measuring about 12mm in diameter. The stone almost has a bit of the tint you see in Australian sapphires. The chain is included and measures about 18 inches long. The pendant dates to the Art Deco Era, circa 1920's. The pendant portion measures about 1 3/16 inches long by about 11/16 inch wide. This piece was acquired through an estate collection and is in lovely vintage condition.
