The Shirley Poppy was developed as a subspecies from the Red Poppy. It comes in shades of pink, red and white. As well as in double or single petal arrangements. This flower can be spring or autumn. It prefers to be planted in an area with full sun. The Poppy will not abide root agitation, so it can only be transplanted if it is done when it is very small. This flower should be planted directly outdoors, in the ground. The seeds for the Poppy are very small, and only need to be planted as deep as they are wide. Often success can be found by scattering the seeds on top of loose garden soil and watering them in.
Propagation note will be supplied with the seed packet for your convenience.
