Antique Pearl Earrings Vintage Mikimoto Design Art Deco - Wedding 1930

A Stunning Pair of Antique Pearl Earrings, Vintage Mikimoto Design with Hand Etched Detailing, circa 1930's. These lovely pearl earrings are composed of high quality Japanese Akoya pearls, similar to the quality of Mikimoto pearls. Mikimoto produced far more pearls than they used in their jewelry and sold off extras to other jewelers in the area. These pearls could very well have originated there. The pearls are about 4mm in diameter. The settings are Japanese Sterling silver with hand etched detailing on the silver. Mikimoto pearl company made pearl earrings very similar to this design. The earrings have screw backings that can be worn on any ear. Each earring measures about 7/8 inch long by about 1/2 inch wide. The earrings date to the Art Deco Period, circa 1930-40's. They were acquired through a fine estate collection and are in lovely vintage condition for their age.
