Astra belongs to the pompom group, has a strong bush, up to 2 feet high. Terry inflorescences are rounded, 2-3 inches in diameter, red in color with a white-yellow middle. Peduncles are powerful, 14-16 inches long. The plant forms up to 20 shoots of the first and second orders. It is used for the design of flower beds, borders and for cutting. When sowing seeds, it should be remembered that germinating seeds do not tolerate drying out of the soil, as well as excessive humidity and sharp fluctuations in temperature.
