A Wonderful Antique Amethyst Necklace Vintage late Victorian - Art Nouveau Deco, circa 1920's, in Sterling Silver by Ostby Barton. This beautiful antique necklace holds a faceted amethyst paste stone at center set in beautiful antique Sterling Silver Filigree. The pedant was made by Ostby Barton, one of the leading jewelers of fine jewelery at the Turn of the Century. One of the founders of Ostby Barton parished on the Titanic, making their pieces historically interesting. The back of the pendant hasa
partial mark stating OB STERLING. The chain is also sterling silver and measures about 19 1/2 inches long. The pedant measures about 1 7/8 inches long with bail and is about 5/8 inch wide from side to side. This piece was acquired from an estate collection and is in lovely vintage condition.
