Edmund Dulac’s Picture Book for the French Red Cross first edition book is for sale, and comes with the original rare dust jacket and the 20 Edmund Dulac colour illustrations. The Edmund Dulac Picture Book for the French Red Cross was published for the Daily Telegraph newspaper by Hodder and Stoughton to raise funds for the French Red Cross under the patronage of H.M. Queen Alexandra who was married to King Edward VII.

This is the first edition that will make a wonderful addition to any Edmund Dulac illustrated book collection or to any illustrated book collection.

The dust jacket has a wonderful Edmund Dulac colour illustration of Asenath pasted to the front of the dust jacket, which is the same Edmund Dulac colour illustration that is found on the Frontispiece opposite the Title Page inside the book.  The lettering is in dark green and has the price of “3/- net” to the front of the dust jacket.  

The dust jacket is in Very Good condition with a short closed tear to the edge of the spine to the top of the dust jacket (no paper loss), wear to the top and bottom of the spine, wear to the corners of the dust jacket, and some dust staining.  However, the pasted Edmund Dulac colour illustration is in Fine condition and this scarce Edmund Dulac dust jacket still looks extremely attractive.

This stunning Edmund Dulac Picture Book measures an impressive 8.50 x 11.00 inches (approx) and has its original green cloth binding and is profusely decorated to the front board.

The Edmund Dulac Picture Book for the French Red Cross binding is extremely attractive and in Very Good condition with only very minor faults of corner knocks and knocks to the top and bottom of the spine.
