A Wonderful pair of Vintage Victorian Black Star Sapphire Earrings in Classic Sterling Silver Settings. These estate earrings hold beautiful black star sapphire gems, each measuring about 8 x 13mm oval. The sapphires do not have star striations, but have beautiful luminosity in the light. The stones are set in sterling silver settings with beautiful classic detail. The earrings are designed in style that was popular during Victorian and Georgian times. These designs were known as Etruscan Revival style, based upon the elegant simplicity of ancient Greek and Roman jewels.
Each earring measures about 1 3/8 inches long with wire tops by about 9/16 inch wide from side to side. These earrings were acquired through an estate collection and are in lovely vintage condition.
