Rare Antique Art Nouveau Gold Locket Victorian Regal Lion Ornate c.1890 Renaissance Revival

A Wonderful and Rare Antique Art Nouveau Gold Locket with Regal Lion Motif, Renaissance Revival, circa 1890. This beautiful antique piece is composed of antique gold filled and was made in the late Victorian - Art Nouveau period, circa 1890. These are getting quite difficult to find. The locket depicts a powerful lion on hind legs with graceful flowing lines in repousse. The locket opens and closes and measures about 1 5/16 inches long with the bail by about 1 inch wide. The locket dates to the late 1800's and is in lovely overall condition for its age with wear to the gold filled appropriate for its age. A lovely and rare find.
