The classic British amplifiers that the Model M is based upon covered generations of different tones. That's why Tone City has tried to emulate their notoriously saturated crunch and high-gain tones in one unit, with the mode switch allowing you to swap between these distinctive sounds. In crunch mode, you'll attain nostalgic 60s and 70s rock tones, providing anything from a light overdrive to a raunchy crunch via the dedicated crunch control. In high gain mode, a more modern JCM-style tone is delivered, with a powerful mid-range and hair-raising levels of gain. This will take you from alternative rock to heavy metal at just the turn of a knob. But if you want even more tonal potency, engage the boost circuit to tighten up your sound and achieve more volume for solos! (Please note: Boost function only works when distortion is engaged, it does not work on its own).
