Victorian Trade Card / Bookmark - BATAVIA COFFEE - Spragues, Warner & Company, Chicago
Pretty little advertising card, or bookmark, for "BATAVIA brand COFFEE", prepared by Spragues, Warner & Company, of Chicago. Card features a winter scene with a woman apparently carrying a couple buckets of water through the snow back to a thatch-roofed cottage with two chimneys. There's no printing on the front of the card.
The back states that "You are being served the Celebrated BATAVIA brand COFFEE", so it would seem that these were given to restaurant patrons to let them know what brand of coffee they were drinking.

Condition: Very good, I'd say. The card is lightly soiled with slightly worn edges and corners. There is a clear thumb bend/crease along the lower portion of the right margin. (Please see scans.)
