TOM SARRIS' ORLEANS HOUSE - Arlington, Virginia - 1970s Matchbook Cover Matchbook Cover
Description: Here's a very nice over-sized matchbook cover from Tom Sarris' Orleans House, a famous restaurant that was located on Wilson Blvd. in the Rosslyn neighborhood of Arlington, Virginia.
The inside describes the establishment a being "ACROSS KEY BRIDGE FROM GEORGETOWN", as well as a "SHOWPLACE of Regal Splendor" with "Authentic atmosphere of gracious Old Orleans. Finest Beef, Seafoods and Specialties D'Maison". The prices were supposedly "surprisingly moderate" and the place seated "over 500" with "Party facilities available."
Produced by Universal Match Corp, St. Louis
Actual Size: approx. 2" x 2" (closed)
Date: Not dated, but I believe it's from the early 1970s, although with that old-style phone number, it could be from the 1960s
Condition: Very good, I'd say. The cover is very clean and the striker strip shows no evidence of use. (Please see scans.)
**NOTE**: Shipping charges are discounted when more than one of my items are purchased at the same time. See what else I have to offer!
