Antique Australian Opal Earrings Victorian Edwardian Style Silver Dangle Drop 1950

A Stunning Pair of Antique Australian Opal Earrings, Victorian - Edwardian Style, circa 1950 in Sterling Silver Dangle Drops. These wonderful antique earrings hold four genuine Australian opal gemstones that show beautiful colors in the light. The opals at the top are solid stones backed with black onyx. The opals at the bottom are solid stones with color showing through on even the backside. Each top opal measures about 7 x 10mm oval. And the bottom stones are about 10 x 12mm oval, and do vary a bit in size from the left and right earring. The largest opal has natural matrix within the stones. The settings are beautifully done in sterling silver with a lovely patina. Overall each earring measures about 1 1/2 inches long with wire tops by about 7/16 inch wide. These earrings are a rare find and are in lovely vintage condition.
