A Wonderful Antique Pearl Link Bracelet in Gold Upon Silver, Japanese Akoya Ocean Pearl (Mikimoto Process), c.1920. This antique bracelet holds 5 genuine Japanese akoya pearls, each about 7mm in diameter. The akoya method was invented by Mikimoto in the early 1900's. The pearls in the bracelet have a beautiful luster and set in gold upon fine sterling silver with a bit of hand engraved detailing around each pearl. Overall the bracelet is about 6 inches (when clasped) long by about 3/8 inch wide. This piece is estimated to date to the Art Deco era and is in lovely vintage condition. A wonderful antique find.
