Lanny Ross's film credits include Captain Henry's Radio Show (1933), Melody in Spring (1934), College Rhythm (1934), The Lady Objects (1938), Gulliver's Travels (1939), Stage Door Canteen (1943), et al. His radio credits include Maxwell House Show Boat, Troubadour of the Moon, Packard Mardi Gras, Lucky Strike Hit Parade, Lanny Ross Program, et al.
Ross was a graduate of Columbia Law School and served in World War II, rising to the rank of major.
Letter is on Lanny Ross stationery, handwritten and signed in bold black fountain pen: "Best wishes to the 'M.F.F.C.' for many many more years and thanks for 'its' loyalty and cheer Lanny Ross." Comes in matching envelope postmarked Grand Cent. Annex, N.Y., Jun. 29, 1936.
Letter is in superb near mint/mint condition. Great artifact from one of radio's singing stars of the 1930s. The M.F.F.C. stands for Chaw Mank's Movie Fans' Friendship Club, which he started in the 1920s.
