Best known creatures in Greek mythology. He is a winged, immortal divine stallion also known as a horse usually depicted as pure white in color. He was sired by Poseidon, in his role as horse- god, and foaled by his mother Gorgon Medusa; he was born along with his brother Chrysaor when Medusa was decapitated by Perseus.
UNICORN:
The unicorn is a legendary creature that has been described as a beast with a large pointed spiraling horn projecting from its forehead. An extremely wild woodland creature, a symbol of purity and grace, which could only be captured by a virgin. Its horn was said to have the power to render poisoned water potable and to heal sickness.
These pair of oil paintings were created by the renown artist: PEGGY HARRIS. Her signature on the canvas is on the left and on the right sides of the horses.
