PALMS TOWN & COUNTRY MOTEL - South Miami, Florida - Vintage Matchbook Cover
Description: Here's a nice vintage standard-sized matchbook cover from the Palms Town & Country Motel, located on South Dixie Hiway in South Miami, Florida. Features included: Restaurant, Swimming Pool, TV Every Room, Telephones, Tub & Showers, Air Conditioned. The telephone number is given in the old style as "MO. 1-5341".
There's no printing on the inside.

Actual Size: approx. 2" x 1.5" (closed)
Date: Not dated, but that old-style phone number probably puts it in the 1950s (or perhaps early 1960s)
Condition: Good, I'd say. The cover is only lightly soiled but the striker strip area has some damage, mainly from the rough removal of the staple that held the matches. There are also a couple additional sets of staple holes which pass through the striker strip and both sides of the cover. (Please see scans.)
