CARVER'S Restaurant and CEDAR LAWN Motel - 1950s(?) Matchbook Cover - Waverly, Iowa
Description: Here's a standard-size matchbook advertising Carver's, a restaurant in Waverly, Iowa, and the Cedar Lawn Motel. The phone number given is just four digits, "Phone 1042".
The inside simply says " Private Room Available for Parties and Meetings".

Actual Size: approx. 2" x 1½" (closed)
Date: Not dated, but that 4-digit phone number probably dates it to the 1950s or earlier, I would think.
Condition: Just good, I'd say. The cover is a bit soiled, with a corner crease at the bottom and a pinhole at the top of the striker strip. The striker strip only shows light use. Any unused matches and the stubs were completely removed, possibly with the staple also being removed and replaced. (Please see scans.)
