(stones may all be glass, sorry I just do not know for sure, but I believe that part of the stones are Scottish Agate and that the yellow stones in the Thistle are actually Citrine) Scottish Thistle Brooch, measuring approx. 1 7/8" X 7/8" , and is marked A & L (and other writings, just can't read) and is also marked with the Birmingham Anchor which means it was made in Birmingham, England, and has another completely worn cartouche, but has been tested and found to be STERLING SILVER. Clasp works fine! One of the reddish / orange stones is so badly damaged that it should be replaced, but probably should be worn just as it is, due to the character that it has!
