Pete the Cat Vocabulary Cards PDF

Pete the Cat Vocabulary Cards includes two sets for a total of 30 vocabulary cards. There are 12 cards for the "Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons" and another 18 for "Pete the Cat, I Love my White Shoes" story. (Pete and sing/singing is repeated for both sets.) Neither of these stories nor their illustrations are included, however you should be able to locate these books in many libraries. All the pictures are computer drawings.

I use these cards to introduce the story's vocabulary, to allow students to understand and discuss meanings of words, to classify the words in their created groups, to allow students to make connections from the vocabulary to their personal lives and the text, and to assist students in retelling the story.

All the picture-word cards that are included are the following: Pete, button, shirt, shirt with buttons, roll away, groovy, cry, stuff, popped off, sing, belly button, white, red, blue, brown, shoe, shoes, walking, love, stepped in, strawberries, blueberries, mud, bucket, water, bucket of water, wet, and singing.

This set now includes seperate picture and word cards to be used as a matching game and for extra reinforcement. Enjoy!
