  • Description
Here's an interesting vintage scenic postcard featuring the Customs House Tower and Historic Tea Wharf in Boston, Massachusetts.

The description on the back reads: The marker at the Wharf reads "Here formerly stood Griffin's Wharf at which lay moored December 16, 1773, three British ships with cargoes of tea. To defeat King George's trivial but tyrannical tax of three pence per pound, about ninety citizens of Boston, partly disguised as Indians, boarded the ships, threw the cargoes, three hundred and forty-two chests in all, into the sea and made the world ring with the patriotic exploit of the Boston Tea Party."

The card is identified as a "Natural Color Card from Kodachrome", a Mike Roberts Color Production, Berkeley 2, California. It was Published for Bromley & Company, Inc., Boston 14, Massachusetts. It carries the identification code "BM-16".

Size: approx. 3½" x 5½"

Date: Not dated, but probably from the 1950s.

Condition: Very good, I'd say. The card is unused, with very only slight edge wear. The back shows a couple tiny spots of dirt. (Please see scans.)

MULTIPLE ITEM SHIPPING DISCOUNT: I will ship up to 4 cards for the single base shipping charge shown. For purchases of more than 4 cards, the shipping charge will increase by just a small increment for every 4 additional cards.
