Perfection is this ca. 1970 carnival glass beaded shell covered butter dish. Condition is perfect. The color is a wonderful iridescent deep amethyst carnival glass which has reflections of copper and green. The bowl is 7" in diameter. The overall height with the lid on is 6 3/4". The bowl sits on 4 charming shell feet. Shell scallops edge it. Four beaded shells with fine stippling in between adorn the lid. Use the handsome knob with 4 shells to remove the lid. The photo showing the bottom of the base gives the best color match. The dish was probably made by Mosser.
