White bisque ceramic cat modern stylization figurine vintage cm1481

An unusual cat figurine that looks a bit like a polar bear but with whiskers, snub nose and long tail. It is made of pure white ceramic that is unglazed. The shape is very stylized in a modern style. Only the head and tail are really detailed. The cat is decorated with gold spatter and has some squiggling characters in red that look Arabic or Farsi to me but that is just a guess.

It is 4 inches high and 5 inches wide. It is hollow and has green felt on the bottom for protection. There is a sticker on the back but it is undecipherable. Condition is very good to excellent.
