Call of Duty Warchest [PC Game]

The Call of Duty Warchest includes the original Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty: United Offensive, and two bonus discs that feature the Brady Strategy Guides for Call of Duty and United Offensive, and the soundtrack from Call of Duty.

Developed by several members of the design team responsible for Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, Activision's Call of Duty is a first-person shooter set amidst the chaos and turmoil of World War II. Players begin the game as an infantryman armed with a pistol and grenades, with additional weapons in the form of rifles, machine guns, and bazookas earned during their tour of duty. A total of 24 missions are available, spread across three separate campaigns. Players will experience the war through American, British, and Russian points of view, allowing them to step into the roles of three soldiers on the front lines who must endure three different operations. Vehicles such as tanks, jeeps, and more can also be commandeered for the war effort.

Call of Duty 2 is the Infinity Ward follow-up to 2003's critically acclaimed Call of Duty, and pushes farther across the European Theatre of World War II with missions spanning the desert fighting in North Africa to the tank assaults on the Russian front. The sequel boasts graphical enhancements and significant improvements to artificial intelligence. Computer-controlled teammates act and react individually, and the game's contextual "battle chatter" system lets players know exactly what's on their minds. Enemy squads are likely to have learned a few new tricks as well. The game's single-player campaign is designed to allow individual players to progress through the missions in the order they prefer. Multiplayer warfare is supported for Internet-connected soldiers.

Call of Duty: United Offensive takes Infinity Ward's historically based first-person shooter for a ride. Developed by Return to Castle Wolfenstein creator Gray Matter Interactive, United Offensive adds a number of drivable vehicles to Call of Duty, and introduces new styles play to the original game's multiple single-player stories. Like the main game, the add-on features three separate single-player campaigns, to provide distinct World-War II era adventures from the perspectives of an American, British, and Russian solder. Additional weapons include portable machine guns and flamethrowers. Along with the new single-player features, new multiplayer modes and maps are also added by United Offensive. As with most expansion packs, a full installation of the original game is required for play.
