This ring gave me a few problems. I had baught it, and put it in my pocket with out a thought. When I got home I pulled it out ,and a magnet that I keep with me was stuck to it. I tested it with a silver testing solution, and it came out positive. I assumed that it might just be silver plated steel, so I took wire cutters and cut into it. It wasnt plated, silver all the way through. I played with the magnet and the ring for some time before I figured out the magnet was grabbing the stone and not the ring itself. The veining on the stone seems to be some sort of iron. I wish I saw that before I cut the ring. Anyhow, I dont think iron is found with turqoiuse, so tthis may be some other stone. I know there is a synthetic type of turqoiuse that is sometimes made from iron pyrite called block, but because of the vienning and pours, I dont think this is that. Very large and unusual. Will need to be repaired, but worth it if intending to wear Nice color stone
