This mug is probably perfectly safe to use as a drinking mug but since I don't know that for sure, I am offering it as a collectible. Display it on a shelf or use as a pencil holder or fill with makeup brushes and place it on your vanity.
This is a handmade mug and is signed on the bottom P.T. in a circle of gold. It is decorated with a free-hand scalloped border top and bottom and lavender flowers. The base is about an inch thick, the total is 4 inches high. This was made using the slab method. The design continues into the underneath. There is a firing crack in the glaze in the inside of the base--not inside the mug. It will have no effect on either use or appearance. The mug is thick and heavily glazed. The combination of whimsey and soft colors make this a very desirable mug.
