This is the authentic formula handed down within the Chow Gar Southern Praying Mantis system and comes via Yip Shui, late Grandmaster of the Chow Gar system and Master herbalist to Sifu Paul Whitrod, direct disciple of Yip Shui. This is an excellent all purpose dit da jow liniment that can be used for Dit Yueng (Iron Palm), for healing of injuries and for everyday practice. The traditional preparation method for this formula is somewhat different and calls for lightly cooking the herbs in sesame seed oil and other steps prior to mixing with alcohol. This liniment is prepared exactly to the traditional method and aged for a minimum of 2 years. The Chow Gar lineage of Southern Praying Mantis is known for their extensive focus on strengthening and conditioning, including Iron Palm, Finger striking (Dim Mak, Dim Yuet), Iron shirt, Golden Bell, and a wide range of partner training drills called "chongs" or Jongs as in Mook Jong. Although there are other liniments used for a variety of specific purposes, this is the formula that is most used. This formula strengthens, conditions, and heals, therefore making for a great all purpose liniment. Shen is honored to have received this formula from Sifu Paul Whitrod and know proudly offers it to our customers. This is an all natural formula made up of 24 Chinese plant and mineral derived herbs. Shen prepares this tincture to the exact traditional methods. We use air tight, sterilized glass jars for the aging process. The herbal liquid is filtered during the bottling process. Only amber glass bottles are used. This formula is non-toxic but is not intended for internal consumption. It is For External use only.
