Back in the mid 70's drummer Billy Cobham established himself as one of the most influential percussionist of his era...it was a pivotal time as the original Mahavishnu Orchestra had disbanded, John McLaughlin was wallowing, and jazz purists were beginning to complain about the rock influence; Billy helped show a new direction...in 1974 Atlantic Records released the album "Crosswinds" and following that album Billy Cobham toured with a large ensemble including The Brecker Bros., John Abercrombie and trombonist Glenn Ferris...just from that tour are presented here two fantastic gigs.....
